Marco is a multilingual and versatile communications executive with an extensive background and knowledge of the Hispanic market and a successful 20+ year track record in publicity, talent relations, issues management, employee communications, corporate social responsibility, entertainment publicity, press campaign development, web content writing, and strategic communications in the U.S. general market, as well as the Hispanic market, both on a domestic and international level. He is a top tier professional who has worked with the Housing Authority of the City of LA’s police department and PR for the public sector (political campaign Measure A Sheriff Accountability and Reparations Bill for African Americans).
Most recently, Marco founded the Public Relations/Corporate Communications department at Estrella Media, a vertically integrated Hispanic media company, where he served as Vice President of Public Relations & Corporate Affairs.
Marco holds a master’s degree in Communications Management from the University of Southern California (USC); a bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Language & Culture from California State University, Northridge (CSUN); and a professional certificate in translation & Interpretation (English/Spanish) from UCLA Extension. He is currently serving as Board Chair for the Latino Equality Alliance, a social justice nonprofit organization that serves the Latinx LGBTQ youth and their families in Boyle Heights and Southeast Los Angeles.
