PlayKids Powered By Zone TV Comes To Xfinity X1
Zone·tv Offers a Customized Experience for Children Eight and Younger
Zone·tv today announced that PlayKids -a new advertising-free online subscription video on demand (SVOD) service that is a destination for fun and learning – is now available to Xfinity TV customers through Comcast’s Xfinity X1 platform. “PlayKids was created by experts in child development and provides a safe educational entertainment destination for young children.
“X1 is setting the bar for TV. Everything we do at zone·tv is designed to be highly customized to benefit our viewers, so our content is a perfect fit into the advanced viewing experience Comcast is creating,” said Jeff Weber, CEO, zone·tv.
He added, “The content on PlayKids is carefully selected for the age of the child. Whether a young viewer is a 2-year-old or an 8-year-old, the TV experience for each will be unique and customized to the child’s learning level.”
PlayKids’ programming mix spans hundreds of videos, including read-along stories, educational activities, and games. The content is designed to foster literacy, promote motor coordination, enhance social skills, and spur creativity. X1 customers can find the service by saying “PlayKids” into their X1 voice remote or by finding it within the networks section of Xfinity On Demand.
PlayKids is a top brand from Movile, a Latin American mobile marketplaces provider with more than 100 million active users. PlayKids was developed in 2013 and its content is now embraced by families in more than 100 countries, who are attracted by content from sources including the Walt Disney Co., the Jim Henson Co., and others.
“This launch represents the platform’s expansion and a massive investment to grow in the US. Within PlayKids, we have a very strong culture of bringing the best products to our service. We want to add services that parents are looking for and get kids to engage more with what we offer,” said Guilherme Martins, CEO, PlayKids.
